Homebuyer EducationJohn's story: "After his divorce, John could only afford a small apartment, one that seemed even smaller when his three children lived there on weekends. John completed homebuyer education at NWGF and realized that he could be a homeowner with the help of NWGF programs. He moved into a brand-new NWGF home with the help of an NWGF “due-on-sale” second mortgage, which is not paid back until the home is sold. John’s children now have a home to stay in and a yard to play in, thanks to Homebuyer Education for NWGF, the first step to homeownership."

Saturday classes: Homebuyer Education classes provide in-depth information on all aspects of homeownership, including budgeting, finding a home, choosing a lender, insurance, mortgages, and home maintenance at an eight-hour class offered on Saturdays once a quarter. A $20.00 charge is required to register.
