NWGF New Construction Projects


NeighborWorks Great Falls builds approximately five new homes per year, most often in the older and historic parts of Great Falls . The homes are constructed to energy star standards to help reduce energy bills.

At this time we do not have any
home available for sale.

Buyer Qualifications

  • First time homebuyer, or not a homeowner in past 3 years, or head of household with dependents, or disabled member of family

  • Below 80% median income; must complete NW Homebuyers Education Class

  • Must qualify for first mortgage

  • Down payment assistance and subsidy is available

  • Maximum down payment assistance  of $15,000 to qualified buyer

  • Maximum of additional $25,000 NeighborWorks subsidy (silent 2nd mortgage) to qualified buyer

Selection process

  • Contact your realtor to submit buysell

  • Contact your lender to submit completed loan package

  • Complete and submit one page narrative to NeighborWorks selection committee (this narrative is designed to share one’s life story and why you are a good candidate for assistance from NeighborWorks)

2009/2010
High School House Program

The Advanced Building Trade students from Great Falls High School and CM Russell High are building their 24th and 25th homes at 1708 Central and 1429 1st Ave NW. The three bedroom, two bath homes will be available for purchase in June, 2010 at the end of the school year.

2009/2010
MSU Great Falls - College of Technology House a

The COT will use the house as on-the-job training for students in its Carpentry and Construction Trades program.

Beginning in September and throughout the school year, the students work on every phase of the home, from the foundation to the roof.  

The homes are sold to income qualified buyers after completion and will be available for purchase in June, 2010 at the end of the school year.

Special thanks to School District 1, the City of Great Falls and Falls Construction for their help with these projects.

For 13 days about 100 volunteer fundraisers will be visiting local businesses to gain their support. The fund drive raises money for NWGF’s operating expenses. This year’s goal is $110,000.
